The World Cup Has Been Like My Postman……

Posted on June 21, 2010 by Dave W

…..Sometimes fails to deliver.

Recently the World Cup, the nice weather and my family have all contributed to my continued training frustrations.

I am basically going through the motions (a bit like swimming in the sea at Blackpool).

If England don’t improve on Wednesday I might just get on my bike and not come back until it is all over.

They have been like startled rabbits frozen in the headlights.

Some other so called ‘big teams’ have also struggled with France, Spain, Italy and Germany failing to deliver.

Is it a European thing or are they not good enough regardless of where they hold the tournament.

I will manage 30 odd miles for the next few weeks, take a family holiday and then get serious.

Keep Moving
