When plopped on this cycle seat the child will lie on his/her back and gurgle at the passing clouds and trees swooping overhead and with this eventually fall asleep too. And not to mention you get to enjoy your ride without the worry. You know the child is ready for a cycle ride when he/she can sit upright with little support; it also pays to pick a cycle seat that has a recliner for when the child falls asleep. When you plan a ride remember to carry waterproof jackets for the child in case the rain god decides on some shower and other essential outdoor equipment like a tool kit that you may require. A cycle ride can be very soothing and refreshing so the child may also seem less cranky and seemingly enjoy the experience and the scenic around.

Why do we find it hard to run after cycling?
A question thats puzzled me for some time, so why do we become slower at running particularly after we’ve been cycling?
If you find my question intresting then please star it!
Answer
Its a temporary problem. Cycling uses slightly different muscles than running, so blood flow and oxygen aren’t going to all the right places when you get off the bike and start running. This gets sorted out in the first half mile or so, and you’re back to full speed, minus the fatigue factor of course.
Part of it is psychological. Your brain becomes accustomed to driving the repetitive cycling motion, and takes a couple minutes to adjust to the new routine.
My 5k and 10k pr’s are only about 30 seconds faster than my best splits for the same distance as part of a triathlon.
