Cycling For Fitness: A resource for er um 'people of a certain age' or those looking to get fit, lose weight!

Getting out on your bike can provide you with many benefits. Improved fitness, stress relief and weight loss can all be achieved by regular bike rides.

Whether you prefer road bikes or mountain bikes, you will benefit from your time in the saddle. You don’t have to become a ‘Tour De France’ contender either.

Living in the Northwest of England close to the Pennines I am not too far away from any type of challenging ride and at the moment my preferred method of riding is on a mountain bike.

Unfortunately, the Northwest of England is renown for its weather and I find as the winter months creep in I spend more and more time doing Indoor Cycling.
