Diets

You want to be slim and smart? You want to lose weight? Well if you do the work, you will reap the rewards. This one is not really a secret but it is worth thinking about. It’s a natural instinct to be tempted by fast food, sweet dishes and cheese foods but this doesn’t mean you have to choose between each of them. There is a very wrong perception that dieting is all about cutting down your food choices. Let me explain as simply as possible, the concept of energy and fat.

The reason we drink and eat is for energy. We need this energy to lead our day to day activities. This energy is in the form of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are the bodies’ most preferred fuel source. And we find these carbohydrates, proteins and fats in all of these foods, so deciding not to take these foods is not at all a wise choice.

So Diet is all about refining your eating habits, that you can enjoy all of the God gifted blessings. Today’s dieting plans are not some recent research; in fact dieting is an ancient technique which has been refined form time to time. Old civilizations had their own food preferences and food taboos based on their faith and cultures. That is why we have traditional diets and religious and cultural diets.

But let me scroll you through some unique recent researches.

One of all time famous dieting technique is “Low Fat Diet”. In the low fat diet 30% or less of the total daily calories comes from fats. Today’s research shows that in an average American diet about 35–37% of calories come from fat.
Other type of dieting technique is “Blood Type Diet”. The Blood Type diet is a technique that relies on an individual’s blood type (A, B, AB, and O) to state one’s diet. The idea behind this is that an individual’s blood type determines which foods are healthy for an individual and which foods are not.
“Dash Diet” is a diet rich in fruits, vegetables and low fat dairy foods, with reduced saturated and total fat could substantially lower blood pressure.

Now, here is what you should always remember: fat does not make you fat! This diet is also recommended for individuals with heart disorders that promptly have to lose redundant weight.
