You need to create a simple schedule on your calendar, date book, or planner and keep it. Make sure you do this when others know you can’t be reached, this will prevent you from being interrupted or bothered when trying to accomplish this.

When you decide to go riding, keep a record of it. Do whatever you want as far as how detailed you want your records to be, maybe you want to write how long the ride was and where it was or keep it simple with just a check mark. Keeping this type of record will improve your motivation and remind you that you may have missed a workout and that you need to get your butt in gear and get riding. When it’s time to ride it’s time to ride, don’t procrastinate or postpone as this will create a negative mindset. The idea here is to keep up the momentum. Once you start riding, you’ll keep riding.

What could be better than having a meeting outside surrounded by the beauty of nature, with your new clients and fellow co-workers right after enjoying a bike ride through the local park. You don’t have to be an expert bike rider to enjoy the outside and learn that all business doesn’t have to be done inside a building. Always keep different size bicycles at the office, so this type of opportunity can be utilized at will.

In extreme cases when you’ve tried everything to get that bicycle ride in, but for whatever reason you just can’t seem to make the time, maybe you could hire some help to free up your schedule. You might need to invest in someone like a assistant or babysitter. Because this would be an investment in your health and wellness, it would absolutely be worth the money.

Prepare for the week ahead and you will find many areas where you can cut or save time. Looking at your daily routine it won’t take long for you to see there are many things that don’t necessarily have to be done or that waste a lot of your time. How much time do you spend watching television or surfing the web? This time could be used for more productive purposes like taking a bicycle ride.

Instead of gossiping around the water cooler at work and wasting that precious hour, take the same amount of time and go for a bike ride to improve your focus and concentration. Contrary to popular belief you’re not shortchanging your employer, but making yourself more productive by recharging yourself and clearing your head.

Make any repairs immediately after your ride, don’t wait if you see something that needs to be fixed. There is no excuse to miss your bike ride when it’s working in perfect order all the time.

A great way of getting your bike ride is on a family get together when you have to meet at their house. Depending how far the distance is you can get a great workout to and from the house and not have to worry about how your going to burn off all those calories you had at the party. This will give you a whole day’s worth of exercise and fun at the same time.

Keep aware of the changes that different weather conditions can bring. Invest in a light for your bike and have the right winter clothes on hand. In the summertime make sure you’re well hydrated by always keeping fluids with you.

Just remember to keep a balance in your life when putting together any type of exercise routine in your life. If all you do is work all day long or ride all day long you will get burnt out. The key is balance and moderation. To create this type of balance have more than just one thing in your life.

Is there a disease where someone has to work out regularly to feel normal?

Take me for example. If I eat heathly for a week but don’t do any kind of physical exercise, be it weight lifting or using my rowing machine, cycling etc I feel really low and my physical appearance fades. I know loads of people who don’t have to do any exercise and they always seem fine and bubblely, but I can only be lively if I have a good workout maybe twice a week!

Answer
Just to put your mind at rest, this is not a disease this is a naturally occuring feeling. when we excercise there is a release a chemical in our bodies called “endorphins” These are a feel good chemical. The more we excercise the more of these endorphins are released. This is great, but the downside is that your body gets used to these endorphins going around and you have to do more and more excercise to get the same “buzz”. Excercise is a good thing but with all good things too much of it can have a downside. The downside of this is that when you stop you get a “low” and feel irritable tired and depressed. Its like coming off a drug. The key to not feeling this way is to excercise in moderation. As long as your excercise doesnt become an obsession and you’re getting enough sleep, and eating healthily you should feel as bubbly as the next person. I hope this has this has helped.
