Resting at an RV park provides the best of both worlds in a travel situation: You are able to maintain privacy and independence, but still have access to the amenities and safety that you would experience in a hotel or other travel facility. There are several RV parks–Bay City Holiday RV Park, Lighthouse RV Park, and Caney Creek RV Park–located in or near Bay City, Texas, that are centrally located to Bay City’s highways and local attractions.

Each RV park allows reservations to be made on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, and charge a slightly lower per-day rate depending on the length of the stay. The parks also request that guests make reservations in advance by telephone or online to secure a site at the park. The Matagorda Musuem, located in Matagorda County in Bay City, is a favorite with locals and visitors to Bay City, as it contains a host of historical exhibits varying from Native American culture to war artifacts to wildlife fossils, and has an admission price of less than $5 for patrons of all ages. Visitors to Bay City also enjoy experiencing the Bay City Antique Mall, which is centrally located near each of the RV parks.

Bay City Holiday Park has sites for recreational vehicles up to 52 feet long. Caney Creek RV Park has sites that can accommodate RVs of varying sizes; additionally, guests traveling by car or truck can make reservations to rent one of the recreational vehicle units that the park has available. Lighthouse RV Park also has sites to accommodate varying RV sizes; this park has fully furnished cabins available for rent and a parking area for extra vehicles and boats.

If you are looking for outdoor recreation, each park is closely located to Sargent Beach and Matagorda Beach. The activities offered throughout the local area include kayaking, bay fishing, bird watching, and jetty fishing.
